The product, in the report: This is the “Toy Weather Station 15p - Hearth & Hand Magnolia” previously sold by Target. This is a weather toy with different gauges for temperatures, seasons, humidity, wind, etc. I have attached photos of what the toy looks like as well as the magnets. This product was manufactured by Magnolia for the Hearth & Hand product line at Target.
Hello, I am reporting a product of Magnolia Heath & Hand, sold by Target, the “Toy Weather Station 15pc - Hearth & Hand with Magnolia.” This product has two magnets that are easily accessible to children and not secured in any way on the toy. The product encourages young children to move ‘arrows’ along different ‘gauges’ that are only secured together by small magnets. I only realized these magnets were accessible when my son dropped the toy, and one of the gauges dislodged along with the small magnet. The magnet is not secured by anything, and was easily removed from the metal gauge. Obviously I am extremely concerned, because magnets should not be easily accessible to young children because of the risk of them swallowing the magnets or not understanding what the magnets are, or danger of the magnets. What is even worse, is that I realized that there are TWO easily accessible magnets on this toy, one on the ‘temperature’ gauge and the other on the ‘wind’ gauge. Obviously, when a child swallows two magnets - that can be deadly (of course swallowing any magnet is dangerous in and of itself). I would like to request an immediate recall for this item due to the danger is poses to young children.
