Emergency room Made Sep 22, 2026, sent to the company Sep 25, 2026, published by CPSC Oct 9, 2026
The product, in the report: The product is called Smartivity Robotic Mechanical Hand, sold on Amazon.com. It is a MDF based toy where the child has to put pieces together to assemble the product. The product takes time to assemble so the child is exposed to the MDF for a long time, and also keeps the MDF product in the room.
We purchased a MDF Wooden toy from a company called smartivity ( Indian Company selling in US). My child was playing with the toy and after a few days started vomiting. On Showing to the doctor, they identified that the MDF used was cancerous and had high formaldehyde. We got the product tested - and it’s highly cancerous. Like all other Indian companies - it seems they are cheating the American Consumer by selling highly toxic products.
