The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Emergency room

Made Apr 25, 2019, sent to the company May 3, 2019, published by CPSC May 17, 2019

The product, in the report: Flying ring - purchase at “The Dollar Tree” - https://www.dollartree.com/colorful-flying-rings-1125-in/283772 Manufactured by Greenbrier International SKU# 283772

My son (8 years old) was playing with his brother (6 years old). The toy is a flying ring similar to a frisbee. However, the toy is very stiff with sharp/hard edges. My 6 year old threw it toward my 8 year old who attempted to catch it. He missed and it struck his face. The disc sliced his face which required 3 stitches. This is NOT a safe toy. It is meant to be thrown back and forth between children, but it’s like throwing a knife!!
