The product, in the report: lysol steam cleaner, blue base, small, light color water container to fill machine with...long skinny handle

I bought this Lysol floor steam cleaner back in 2008 or 2009. Just used it again after putting it aside for a while and it just exploded while I was cleaning. The hot water and chemicals sprayed everywhere including on myself. I had no idea that there was a recall on this item since I never registered it when I bought it. I have several little pieces that I gathered...springs....broken off plastic...the entire top water compartment blew off. I would like my money back and would like to know what I have to do.
