The product, in the report: ‘RED COPPER 5 Minute Chef Electric Meal Maker’ Model#: 2285;2.Al 120V-60Hz 800W Manufactured for TELEBrands Fairfield, NJ 07004 www.telebrands.com Maid in China copywrite2017 Telebrands BulbHead.com ETD listed US lntertek
After following all of the instructions to use a ‘Red Copper 5 Minute Chef Electric Meal maker’ and heating the food contents, I heard steam releasing. The top blew off breaking the latch open and sending the appliance flying off the counter onto the floor while still plugged in. I immediately unplugged it and proceeded to dean up the broken plastic pieces from the inside of the cooker and the food that splattered on the counter top, the floor and kitchen cabinets. If I had been standing on the other side of the counter island I would have been hit and probably injured seriously. As far as I know, I did not overfill the space for the food. There is no line on it that sets a limit other than the actual edge of the cavity for the contents.
