(4/9/2026) Dupray: Dupray takes product safety issues very seriously. We investigate each CPSC database incident report and, based on the results of our investigation, we take action as appropriate. We encourage our customers to provide additional information about incidents directly to Dupray by sending an email to: support@dupray.com. In February 2026, Dupray, together with the CPSC, announced a nationwide product recall of Dupray Neat Steam Cleaners sold from April 2018 through December 2025. As part of the recall remedy, affected consumers are eligible to receive a replacement safety cap at no cost. More information is available by calling 1-800-881-8482 or visiting dupray.com.

In October 2025, I purchased a Dupray Neat Steam System. On January 29, 2026, while using the product as intended, I was severely burned by the machine. The incident resulted in third and fourth degree burns, and I am currently under ongoing medical treatment with my physician due to the injuries caused by this device.
Since the date of the incident, I have repeatedly attempted to contact Dupray to report the injury and seek assistance. I began reaching out in January 2026 and did not receive any response from the company for approximately one month.
About two weeks ago I was finally able to speak with representatives named [REDACTED], who identified herself as the office manager. During that conversation [REDACTED] requested that I provide documentation related to the incident. Per her request, I sent photographs of my injuries, documentation from my physician, and proof of purchase for the product.
After providing all requested information, my phone calls and emails have gone unanswered. [REDACTED] has not responded to any follow-up communication, and no one else from the company has contacted me regarding this matter. I have also attempted to reach Dupray through social media platforms, where my messages appear to have been seen but ignored.
I have since learned that this product has been associated with a national recall, which further raises concerns that this is a dangerous and defective device.
Due to the serious injuries I sustained and the lack of response from the company, I am requesting a full refund for the product and compensation for the medical expenses related to the burns caused by this machine.
I am seeking a resolution and accountability from Dupray regarding this matter.

(3/11/2026) Dupray: Dupray has reviewed Report No. 20260306-DD1E6-2147322937 concerning the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner.
The report states that the product is damaged and that hot water spilled during use. The report does not describe any injury associated with the product.
Dupray has not received the product for inspection and therefore does not currently have sufficient information to determine the condition of the product or the circumstances surrounding the reported issue.
Dupray notes that certain units of the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner are included in a recall conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. As part of the recall remedy, affected consumers are eligible to receive a replacement safety cap at no cost.
Dupray encourages the consumer to participate in the recall program and obtain the replacement component. Dupray remains available to work directly with the consumer to obtain additional information and facilitate participation in the recall remedy.

(3/5/2026) Dupray: Dupray has reviewed Report No. 20260302-92F20-2147323055 concerning a Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner.
The report alleges that the unit’s boiler ruptured and that the cap “popped up.” Dupray contacted the consumer directly to obtain additional information regarding the reported event. During that conversation, the consumer clarified that the cap did not fly off or pop off the unit. The consumer indicated that while using the machine and pulling it closer, water and steam began releasing from the cap area and the consumer sustained a burn.
Dupray has not received the product for inspection and therefore does not currently have sufficient information to determine the specific condition of the product or whether the product was used in accordance with the instructions provided.
Dupray offered to exchange the machine so that the product can be returned and evaluated.
Dupray notes that certain units of the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner are included in a recall conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. As part of the recall remedy, affected consumers are eligible to receive a replacement safety cap at no cost.

The product, in the report: It is a white Dupray Steam Cleaner

Dupray Steam Cleaner burned my left leg and foot. I had let steam out earlier and walked away from it for over 35-40 minutes. It was unplugged and sitting on my wooden floor. I happened to be standing not far from it and it flipped on its own forcing the steam out which resulted in a burn to my left lower ankle area to foot. Thankfully I had on my running shoes and socks but it burned with the steam.
UPDATED ON 6/16/2023: [I wanted to inform you that I spoke with Dupray- specifically a man named [REDACTED] who claimed to be in charge of Quality. I had spoken to him over 9 months ago and he was in charge of customer service.
Immediately upon making him aware of the incident and this was on 6/15/2023, he immediately made comments that I kicked it and caused the steam cleaner to flip. I stressed this was never the case. He stated nothing like this has happened in the 20 years they have been in production and I explained, I had no reason to lie. When I initially called customer service, their first question “Are you seeking compensation?” No cause for concern about my injuries.
I do quality myself and this was an immediate red flag with my conversations with this company. I made them aware and immediately [REDACTED] began with false accusations of what caused the steam cleaner to flip. He called me twice and first I was on phone with nurse line trying to get appointment. I asked he call me after an hour, he called in ten minutes only to argue and accuse me of making item flip. I informed him I was not arguing but making him aware of the situation and that we would have to agree to disagree about what caused steam cleaner to flip. I hung up on him as I was on phone with nurse.
UPDATED ON 7/6/2023: [. I am reaching out about the comment regarding Dupray. Since report initially filed, I have been in contact with Duprays lead, [REDACTED] sonce June 30th who is working with me to address this issue. I received no follow up from Dupray and then received communication from their Director of Marketing. He helped me connect with [REDACTED]. I feel strongly this quality safety issue needs to be resolved. Connected with [REDACTED] on June 30th to address concerns. ]
