The product, in the report: Babyfood Cooker-steams, cooks, and purees food for babies. Similar to a blender, but includes a special steaming function and type of plastic bowl with measurements for baby food.
I purchased a Beaba Babyfood cooker in January 2013 to puree and steam food for my infant son. In less than six months of use I discovered major cracks underneath the blades in the plastic bowl used to puree/steam the food. Had I not been tipped to remove the blades for cleaning I would not have noticed this cracking. These cracks have led to food seepage along the outer rims of the bowl, creating mold (even with cleaning in the dishwasher after each use). Also, due to the number and size of the cracks I am highly concerned small pieces of plastic could break off and go into the baby’s food, causing major injury if ingested. I would NOT recommend this product and believe it should be recalled due to this issue. I have a number of friends who also purchased this product (at my initial recommendation), their Beaba’s have all had the same issue.
