The product, in the report: Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Machine
Hello,
I am writing to report a concern with the Cuisinart CBK-200 bread machine. The metal kneading paddle in my machine lifted off of the hook while the machine was kneading bread, and it appears that the hole in the paddle was rubbing on the hook. This caused the non-stick coating, as well as tiny metal shavings to become incorporated in the dough.
I fortunately noticed when I went to remove the paddle before the baking cycle. I could see that the dough had a grey color, concentrated around the paddle. I investigated the paddle, and could see clearly where the non-stick coating and metal were scraped off.
Because removing the paddle is not a required step before baking, I am concerned that other consumers might have the same problem but not even notice because the cooked loaf of bread would conceal it.
I have contacted Cuisinart with my concern, but have gotten no reply.
