The product, in the report: Lysol Ready Brush Toilet Cleaning System
I was cleaning our master bathroom toilet with the Lysol Ready Brush Toilet Cleaning System. Upon cleaning the underside of the rim, I felt pressure toward the tip of my right middle finger. I quickly realized that my skin had become pinched in between the upper handle and lower bottom connection pieces. I couldn’t repeat the process and apply similar pressure to widen and release the two sections, they were locked tight. I had to physically push the white release button and twist the sections apart to release my finger. A 3 cm wide by 5 cm long piece of skin was compressed between the sections. The lower portion of skin was severed. I am highly concerned with this product. I am on blood thinners because I have an artificial aortic valve. Not only did I lose a lot of blood, but I am at risk for blood infection from the type of cleaning device and the environment it’s used in. The release and twist design leaves room for flexibility in the seam and could do the same to someone who might not be able to figure out how to separate the product with one hand.
