The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Pine-Sol Microfiber Self Wringing Easy Squeeze Twist Design for Wet Mopping

I was mopping my floor with the “Pine-Sol Microfiber Self Wringing (Easy Squeeze Twist Design for Wet Mopping) mop when the top dark green plastic part came off (the part with the hole in it so you can hang the mop on a hook). As I tried to put it back on, my hand slipped and hit the opening of the metal tube (since the tube is hollow, it forms a circle of steel, which is almost razor sharp). This cut deeply into my middle finger in a crescent-like shape and my finger started bleeding profusely. I don’t think there is any nerve damage and I bandaged my finger. But bottom line, there is no reason for this part of a mop to be so sharp. This is an extreme safety hazard, especially since the plastic top part easily comes/pops off. I called Pine-Sol and explained the above to someone, who then told me she wasn’t the right person to hear this. She transferred me to the mop, etc. division. I left a call back number, but no one has called me back. That’s why I’m writing this.
