  1. No one hurt

Made Aug 19, 2026, sent to the company Aug 24, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 9, 2026

The product, in the report: Reduce mug - 40 oz tumbler mug with straw.

My young son was drinking out of a Reduce mug. There is a little silicone piece on the straw cover that you can toggle back and forth to use a straw or not. The piece must have fallen off into the cup without us knowing. He choked on it for a second and then swallowed it. It was very scary. I contacted the company and they could not have cared less. Said I could buy a new lid if I wanted to and sent me a link to purchase it.

  2. No incident, no one hurt

Made May 13, 2024, sent to the company May 16, 2024, published by CPSC May 31, 2024

The product, in the report: The kids tumbler by Reduce. 14 oz.

My 2 year old daughter was drinking out of the kids tumbler by Reduce. There is a small silicone piece that makes the cup spill proof. However, it can be pushed down and it falls into the drink. The piece does fit through the straw as I tried it myself. This is a huge choking hazard.
