The product, in the report: NuWave self-heating rechargeable coffee mug purchased new from Costco Wholesale. The product is designed to keep beverages at a selected temperature. The product was received in its original packaging, but the box had extensive water damage and visible black and green mold growth on both the exterior and interior. Some accessories that should have been included were missing. Because of concerns about mold contamination and the incomplete contents, I did not use the product. I have photographs documenting the condition of the packaging.
I purchased a new NuWave self-heating coffee mug from Costco Wholesale in Laguna Niguel, California. When I opened the package, I found extensive water damage and visible black and green mold growth on both the exterior and interior of the product box. Some accessories that should have been included with the product were also missing. Because of concerns about mold contamination and the incomplete contents, I did not use the product. I contacted the manufacturer and provided photographs, and I am reporting this issue because I believe the condition of the product packaging may pose a health risk to consumers.
