The product, in the report: Dr. Browns Milestones 9 fl oz Babys First Straw Cup in Sage green

A week ago on October 2nd, 2026 we bought and started using the Dr. Browns Milestones 9 fl oz Babys First Straw Cup with our sons. Five days later on October 7th my 10.5 month old son was standing along the couch and lost his footing. The cup was lying on its side beside him not being used or held. During the fall his face his the cup and somehow the cup caused a laceration that penetrated deep into his nose, causing it to remain open and severely bleeding. We immediately went to the hospital for treatment and ended up with 8 stitches to bring the nose back together. The only thing around him was the cup so it was unquestionably what he hit but we were surprised that it could cause such damage.

The product, in the report: Dr. Brown’s Milestones 9 fl oz Baby’s First Straw Cup - Sage: Silicone, BPA-Free, Sippy Cup

My child was drinking from the Dr. Brown’s Milestones 9 fl oz Baby’s First Straw Cup - Sage: Silicone, BPA-Free, Sippy Cup when he sat down a little hard and the top of the cup sliced his fascia. We had to visit the ER that day. The top of the cup goes into toddlers mouth regardless of how they drink from the straw. I tried it myself and same things.
