The product, in the report: Crate & Barrel Microwavable Mugs

I purchased microwavable mugs from Crate and Barrel in August. Since then, 2 have shattered. One resulted in hot water pouring on my French Bulldog. It was a very scary moment. I am concerned that someone could be severely hurt, therefore I am bringing this concern to the Government’s attention. When I spoke to a Manager at a Kittery outlet, she simply told me that the store had been selling the mugs for 30 years. Very little concern was expressed nor did she inform me of any reported issues.

Incidents: 1)A mug shattered while I was warming up coffee in a microwave after one minute 2)A mug made a very large cracking sound and shattered after I poured hot water in it while making tea. The hot liquid spilled on my dog.

The product, in the report: Crate & Barrel stemless wine glass Crate & Barrel highball glass

I have had multiple Crate and Barrel glassware items spontaneously crack or break under normal use.

Today, I had a wine glass spontaneously crack while sipping from it.

Previously, I had a tall drinking glass break in half while washing. The base of the glass fell off. Crate & Barrel replaced the glass and the replacement also cracked and broke.
