  1. No one hurt

Made Nov 2, 2015, sent to the company Nov 16, 2015, published by CPSC Dec 8, 2015

The product, in the report: Ordered from the Wayfair.com web site: 17-oz Iris Highball Glass by Artland, Color: Amber, SKU #: AAN1198 Overall: 6” H x 3.25” W x 3.25” D Overall Product Weight: 1lbs http://www.wayfairsupply.com/Artland-Iris-Highball-Glass-50107B-AAN1198.html

We purchased four sets of the “Highball Glass” by Artland from Wayfair.com. When we received the glasses (four different colors) we noticed that the “bubbles” in the glass were on the inside of the glass. The first thought was that this would make them harder to clean, but an even worse concern has arisen. We noticed a spot in one of our glasses where drink mix deposits simply would not come clean. At closer inspection, we saw that the glass covering one of the bubbles had broken off leaving an opening into the “bubble.” When we noticed this, our main concern was “What happened to the piece of glass that broke off?”

We have immediately stopped using these glasses as the danger is either: 1: When stirring in drink mixes, the spoon will break glass from over the bubbles and you will drink the broken glass. And: 2: The opening caused when the glass breaks is impossible to get clean and is a breeding ground for disease.

The glass that had this happen is: the Amber colored glass (SKU #: AAN1198) and we also bought these glasses (four each) in: Light Blue; Light Green; and Plum
