The product, in the report: Mainstays Stainless Steel dishwasher safe Meat Thermometer. Wide temperature range from 120 - 220 degrees F. 90% Stainless Steel 10% Glass. Clear - MS14-041-410-59
I have a Mainstays meat thermometer and followed the directions 1. Insert probe into thickest part of meat. 2.Place meat into oven with thermometer facing the door. Leave thermometer in meat while roasting. I checked to see if the meat was at the correct temperature and it was not. Thus I left it to cook some more, shortly after checking the thermometer exploded sending glass throughout the oven, pitting the oven door glass, and onto the meat. Had I checked the thermometer at the time it exploded it would have shot the glass into my face..
