The product, in the report: Plastic lids designed to snap onto glass dishes
Snapware/Pyrex shard of glass fell into food upon opening the Snapware lid. I ate food with the shard in it. Fortunately, it felt foreign, so I took it out and discovered it was glass. Others have reported shards breaking off from this same product purchased at Costco. This is a dangerous product that should be removed from shelves. I have alerted manufacturer and Costco. No response from manufacturer yet.

The product, in the report: Pyrex Snap Ware food storage containers in varying sizes
My husband and I purchased two boxes of Pyrex Snap Ware from Costco, one in March and another one in June 2026. I began to notice shards of glass in my cabinet but cleaned them up thinking I had just hit one glass bowl to the one beside it. Then I began to see shards of glass inside of the empty bowls and I examined the bowls and found that the sections of the bowls that the lids snapped onto were broken. I immediately inspected all of my bowls and found that 12 of the bowls were damaged. I immediately notified Pyrex and sent them photos of the bowls. My concern is that the snap feature on the lids is actually splintering the glass causing a dangerous and hazardous situation. I have since removed all of my Snap Ware.

The product, in the report: 8 Piece Ribbed Bowl (4) Set Including 3 Blue and 1 Purple Locking Lids Product Dimensions 12 x 5.5 x 12 inches Item Weight 5 pounds Shipping Weight 8.9 pounds Manufacturer Pyrex ASIN B00FE60HEO Item model number 1111777
Purchased three sets of Pyrex Glass Kitchen (ribbed) bowls from Costco.
Have been using for several months..when wife noticed chips in lips of several bowls.
Initially thought that this was caused by striking spoon against edge.
After examining how these stack, it is clearly seen that the ribs on the outside of the inside bowls are are chipping the upper inside lips of the outside bowls.
This means that there is a good likelihood that glass chips could be getting into consumer’’s food.

The product, in the report: Pyrex glass bowl, approximately 5 inches across (good size for cereal)
A Pyrex brand bowl suddenly shattered. I removed a room temperature Pyrex small bowl (cereal size of bowl) from the kitchen cabinet. Ate a bowl of cereal with milk (from refrigerator set to 34 degrees). I finished the cereal and placed the bowl on a wooden coffee table in my living room (no impact involved). The stainless steel spoon remained in the bowl. There was no left over milk or cereal. About 3 minutes later, the bowl shattered with a relative large “pop” into large and small framents scattered as far away as 3 feet. There was no activity or action of any sort whatsoever after placing the bowl on the coffee table.

The product, in the report: Pyrex glass salad bowl
I had used the salad bowl for dinner. Nothing was heated in it, After dinner it was washed by hand in warm soapy water in the sink. It was dried and placed on the kitchen counter . About an hour later we heard a loud explosion . The bowl had exploded into many pieces. The pieces covered a large area of space but did not hit any of us in the living room. I keep the pieces and turned them into the management of the resort so that they could see what had occurred. I had them send people to clean up the mess I had not been able to do with just a broom.
