The product, in the report: Pfaltzgraff Catalina Dinnerware - plates, bowls, mugs

Pfaltzgraff Catalina dinnerware are labeled microwave safe. When using the plates, bowls, or mugs in the microwave, the dinnerware gets exceedingly hot. Family members and guests have been burned when removing these items from the microwave. This is clearly a safety hazard. I spoke with Consumer Services at Pfaltzgraff (can provide employee name if needed) who denied that there was any issue with their dinnerware. They told me that microwave safe meant that it wouldn’t hurt the microwave. I asked if there was an organization within the company that fields calls regarding safety issues. She refused to provide any contact information for me.
