Jug was at room temperature. Tea bags were placed inside and hot water(boiling several minutes ago) was poured inside over teabags. When jug was half full, it began to shatter and spilled the scalding water over the counter onto my upper front thighs. Caused serious burns, including blistering within 5 minutes of contact, despite ice and burn-gel being applied.
