The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: The product is a product line of glass food storage containers sold on Amazon that comes in many sizes and colors. The manufacturer I purchased from is called M MCIRCO, but the product is produced in Guangzhou, China and appears to be sold under many names on the website. We ordered the 30 piece set with snap tops in blue.

The product is a glass container sold on Amazon meant for storing food. The glass is very cheaply made and shards break off sometimes when the latch lids are closed, resulting in glass shards falling into food. This has resulted in 2 accidental ingestions of glass in my household. After looking online, I found dozens of reviews stretching back at least 3 years reporting the same, however Amazon continues to sell the product and even lists it as its “Recommended”. 1 star reviews that report the dangers are obfuscated by the website layout.
