The product, in the report: solid icecream scooper
11-5-11 was washing dishes in warm water in kitchen sink. heard a loud bang and the Dansk icecream scooper shot out of the sink and landed in the other side. Sounded like a gun shot. Couldn’t hear out of left ear for two days. One part of the end of the scooper shot past my face hitting the refrigerator 8 feet away leaving a mark. Another small piece ended up on the other side of kitchen table 10 feet away. Not sure where the fluid inside went. Close call to getting hit in the face with this. This was one of the most scarriest experiences I’ve had. Took my husband and I several minutes to figure out what happened. This could of been a tragedy if it hit me in the face. I am so lucky. I wish I would of known about the recall sooner. Thank God a child was not washing this and got seriously hurt. I have always washed this in the sink. Not sure why now it decided to explode.
