The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Jul 21, 2015, sent to the company Jul 29, 2015, published by CPSC Aug 19, 2015

The product, in the report: Copco 14oz Stainless Steel travel mug

Purchased Copco 14oz stainless steel travel mug from Walmart. First time use with hot coffee the seal between the metal and plastic at the top of the mug leaked. As I tiped the mug to drink, the hot liquid poured out of the seal below the drinking spout onto my chest. I could have been burned if coffee had been hotter.

The product, in the report: CopCo Coffee Mug

We have 4 of the Copco Coffee Mugs and when you take them apart to wash them so the stainless steel part does not rust, the bottom of the stainless steel part sliced my thumb wide open taking a big goudge out of thumb.
