The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

The product, in the report: Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill number DBM-8 Model DBM UPC 08627900669
Cuisinart coffee grinder stopped grinding. Disassembled to find entire inside filled with coffee grounds. Where the burr grind is attached to the motor and inside a plastic housing, about 1/2 to 3/4 of this plastic housing had been decimated by probably the whole beans hitting it over several years. So essentially the wife and I have been drinking pieces of plastic.

Not said Made Jun 8, 2013, sent to the company Jun 17, 2013, published by CPSC Jul 1, 2013
The product, in the report: Coffee bean grinder
Product is a coffee bean grinder from Cuisinart. The unit has a defect which results in several of the small screws coming lose inside the grinding chamber. A loud popping sound is produced, and the twisted, sharp little screw pops around until it enters the coffee ground recepticle.
This is very dangerous, because this twisted, sharp piece of metal then goes right into someone’s coffee machine, where it can easily tear through the filter and end up in a pot of coffee. If someone were to ingest it by accident, it could do serious harm.
I alerted Cuisinart to the problem in May 2013, and they sent me a replacement unit. This problem then happened again, which leads me to believe it is a widespread issue. I called Cuisinart today (6/8/13) and suggested they issue a general recall on the unit as it poses a serious health risk.
