Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

The product, in the report: Thunder Group French Fry Cutter. This product is supposed to cut sweet potatoes and white potatoes into french fry shapes.

I purchased the THU-IRFFC001 Thunder Group French Fry Cutter from Instawares. My husband only used it two times to cut a total of approximately 6 sweet potatoes. The cast iron handle snapped in half during the second use. The company says I’m past the return date, but that shouldn’t matter since the product is defective and could be dangerous with the handle snapping in half.
