Emergency room Made Aug 21, 2022, sent to the company Aug 25, 2022, published by CPSC Sep 9, 2022
The product, in the report: FOOD CHOPPER WITH GLASS BOWL, 300W, Vortex 1.2L. Food chopper with a motor on top of the bowl and a blade that attached.
The product is a food chopper. The blade would not go in; it didn’t realize it was plugged in and the unit turned on cutting an artery in my hand and requiring 15 stitches. I didn’t think anything of the product because we own various food choppers from other brands including coffee bean grinders and none of the function unless fully assembled. This machine has no safety mechanisms whatsoever and according to the ER Doctor, I could have bled to death if I did not go to the ER.
