The product, in the report: Essentialhome Mandoline V-Slicer used to slice potatoes as well as for grating & shredding
I severely sliced the palm of my right hand while attempting to slice a potato to make potatoes au gratin. It require 9 stitches and was so deep that much of the area did not heal with skin, but with scar tissue. This happened nearly 2 months ago, and the sliced area is still tender and bulges out. This appears to be a permanent condition as is it is all scar tissue and there has been no change fort the past 2 weeks. The product is called a “Mandoline” by “essentialhome” (TM). There are no markings on the product indicating how to use it, and if there were instructions that came with it they must have been lost. When I was at the Urgent Care to get the stitches, the doctor remarked that she had seen several others who had come in with bad cuts from the same product.
