First aid Made Apr 1, 2012, sent to the company Apr 19, 2012, published by CPSC May 3, 2012
The product, in the report: Wagon wheel shaped chrome cutter with 2 handles and spoked blades intersecting round metal blade in the center. A second cutter is made from metal and plastic parts (Kitchen Aid).
3 apple corer slicers I’ve owned (2 same, 1 different) have broken causing substantially serious cuts to hands. The units break apart in center causing hands to come down quickly while sharp metal breaks through the fruit to the outside edges slicing hands on the downward cutting force.
