The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Fresh Meat Slicer Cleaver Kitchen Knife Set for Meat Slicing Shredding Thickness Adjustable Manual Fresh Meat Cutter Food Slicer for Beef Pork Mutton Home Cooking and BBQ Meat Cleavers. Amazon web page: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2DW39SH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I got cut using a poorly designed fresh meat slicer bought from amazon. Fresh meat slicer: NOT SAFE. I’m a good cook who likes using efficient gadgets too. This looked GREAT! IT IS NOT SAFE. The base moves all over the counter. So, if you use the cutter/slicer with both handles, no cutting occurs because the unit is moving. If you use the cutter/slicer with one handle so you can hold the unit in one place (like the first part of the demo video), you are in for trouble... If you hold it from the top, the unit squeezes together so the cutter/slicer cannot move. If you hold it from the bottom LIKE IN THE DEMO, YOU MAY GET A CUT THUMB and/or hand! Yes, I WAS CUT (blades were nice and sharp). This isn’t the only mfg with this same style listed on Amazon. I BELIEVE THEY ALL SHOULD BE PULLED FOR SAFETY REASONS. Mine was returned with that clearly stated as why. Great idea; POOR/HAZARDOUS DESIGN FLAW.
