First aid Made Jul 4, 2022, sent to the company Jul 6, 2022, published by CPSC Jul 27, 2022
The product, in the report: Racheal Ray Pots and pans, in egg blue. They come in a 12 piece set. Was bought off Amazon.
Racheal Ray 15 piece cookware set. We got these pans as a wedding gift in 2020, we didn’t open or use them till this year when getting our apartment April 2022!
Today I put a pan on the stove to heat up some meat and I turned my back to grab something and the pan went up in flames. The pan was on the stove for less than a minute. I went to grab the pan to run outside and the pan was stuck to the stove, almost felt like it was glued. It had melted itself to the stove top and we couldn’t remove the pan even with force. [REDACTED], my husband, ran in and grabbed the pan and yanked it off the stove. In the process of running out the pan then stuck to his leg and burnt him. He threw it into the grass away from the building and it was still so hot it melted the grass to itself! The pan should have NEVER melted in the first place! I tried to reach out to the company and they don’t have a contact line. Just a list of “what to do if……” where I found that the pan are designed for “looks” and low to medium heat only or they will melt, cause the paint isn’t heat resistant. I had to DIG to find this information after one caught fire in my house. Don’t buy this product!
