The product, in the report: Glass Anchor Loaf Dish Model 1041
On Saturday 3/9/24, my Anchor Hocking glass loaf dish Model 1041 exploded while in the oven. I was baking bread at a temperature of 375. The bread had been in the oven about 45 minutes (there was 24 seconds left on my timer) when the pan exploded into thousands of pieces in my oven. Other information - the pan did not undergo extreme temperatures (bread dough was room temp when it went in the oven) and the integrity of the dish was fine prior to baking. I feel very lucky that the pan did not explode in my face when I opened the oven door, possibly sending hot pieces of glass shrapnel in my face. This is very concerning and I am extremely hesitant to bake with any of my other Anchor glass bakeware.
