  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 16, 2025, sent to the company Dec 29, 2025, published by CPSC Jan 13, 2026

The product, in the report: TOSHIBA Air Fryer Combo 8-in-1 Countertop Microwave Oven, Convection, Broil, Odor removal, Mute Function, 12.4” Position Memory Turntable with 1.0 Cu.ft, Black stainless steel, ML2-EC10SA(BS)

I bought a Toshbia microwave/airfryer from Amazon in September 2023. 16 months later it started turning on by itself even though no one was using or toughing it. It started to burn residue on the turntable. The buttons also stopped responding. I’ve had to unplug it to stop it from continuing to do this.

  2. No one hurt

Made Dec 27, 2024, sent to the company Jan 21, 2025, published by CPSC Feb 4, 2025

The product, in the report: Toshiba air fry, oven microwave combo Mod # ML2-EC105A

Toshiba Model #ML2-EC 105A, combination air fryer, oven and microwave, starts on its own without any buttons being pushed. Cannot be stopped by pressing CANCEL. Only by opening the door will it stop On the final attempt to use the device it started smoking. Unplugged and removed from area. Toshiba acknowledged others have brought this to their attention. I can only imagine what damage or loss of life could have occurred if this happened when no one was home or in the area. Huge safety issue!
