The product, in the report: This product is for cooking food in a microwave it has a base unit with a heat disk, dome lid, grill press, grill pan, steam tray, griddle pan, deluxe grill pan and deluxe griddle pan. I can send you pictures of the unit after the fire and this product has no information on it. TastWave Cookware by Chef Tony

My name is [REDACTED] and I purchased by phone on 10/9/10 a TastWave Cookware by Chef Tony. This cookware is designed for cooking for cooking food in microwave. I tried it one time right after I received it and didn’t use it again until March 15,2011. I was going to just make a toasted cheese sandwich I put the sandwich in the unit and put the unit in the microwave and started the time for 4 minutes. After about 30 seconds I looked up and there was a fire inside the microwave. I got the fire out and what a mess and what caused the fire was the dome lid knob. The microwave is ruined black soot all over the kitchen and while I was running to open the door and window I fell and hit my left knee. I called the company and let them no what had happened and they refunded the money I spent for the unit and to send them any pictures I could and I did. I also let them no that I expected them to pay for the clean up and replace the microwave for the total coast of $844.28. I was told by [REDACTED] that he had turned it over to there Attorney’s and still no answer. I contacted [REDACTED] and my case #8619267 and they ended up with the same answer. So they advised me to see if the Consumer Product Safety Commission could help me. I’m also attaching some other information I hope will help.
