Made Dec 21, 2023, sent to the company Jan 22, 2024, published by CPSC Feb 5, 2024

The product, in the report: Air fryer

12/20/2023: The consumer was watching TV, when he heard a noise in the kitchen. The air fryer had turned on by itself and stayed on for approximately 8 – 10 minutes. He immediately turned it off and unplugged it from the electric wall outlet. There was no damage.

He contacted the manufacturer and was referred to their Warranty Department. The rep. in the warranty department advised him to take it back to the retailer for a refund. The consumer pointed out that he was more focused on reporting a safety issue, but the rep. did not provide any other options.

The consumer had fans on and was watching TV at the time of the incident, so he said there was no electrical spike in his home.

    There were no prior issues.
