The product, in the report: Air Fryer
Consumer response: 1. Simply Ming The Healthy Fry Ceramic to make kale chips, cooking time 3-4 minutes. https://www.hsn.com/products/simply-ming-the-healthy-fry-ceramic-nonstick-air- fryer/8166371 2. Directly after air fryer stopped cooking, light gray smoke started erupting from the top of the unit. 3. Hood fan above range was on, however, the immediate eruption of dark smoke from top and evolving out of the open tray area was so empowering the hood fan could not accommodate the sequence of events. 4. Air fryer was unplugged from wall but the bottom of the air fryer began to spark with fire and then, immediately erupted into a fire and explode. 5. 911 TVFR, Tualatin Valley Fire Rescue, had been called during the incident and consumer too pictures while speaking to TVFR and awaiting their arrival. 6. Consumer immediately went to a safe place with her 13 year old pet. 7. Consumer called HSN at 11:20 am to report the incident. 8. All reports have been filed: a. Consumer Home Claim #[REDACTED] b. Even though I got her to a safe place, at the age of almost 14 years old she suffered from trauma/shock/transition transitioning from my home of 17 years to a hotel location. On 11/06/2016 at 10:15 pm she passed away. November 11, 2016, Veteran’s Day she would have been 14 years old. [REDACTED] will never be replaced by another pet, she simply is not replaceable. Since October 24, 2016 continuing consumer is residing at a hotel to date.
