The product, in the report: Pampered Chief Air Fryer Model 100194
My Pampered Chief Air Fryer Model 100194 nearly caught on fire. When I started it yesterday it sparked and I smelt electrical and plastic burning. I immediately turned it off and opened the top to inspect. The white wire that goes from the heating coil to the circuit board sparked and started to burn. I called customer service and [REDACTED] seemed very concerned. She took my info and sent it to [REDACTED] in Risk Management. I explained what happened and sent photos of the burnt circuit board. [REDACTED] said “This does not appear to be a defect”... “since the product is two years out of warranty a replacement cannot be offered” Just to be clear this is absolutely a DANGEROUS defect and I was only trying alert them but they did not take it seriously. These products are typically kept underneath kitchen counters, and if the wire would not have separated from the circuit board, it would have continued to spark and burn.
