First aid Made Dec 31, 2025, sent to the company Jan 6, 2026, published by CPSC Jan 30, 2026
The product, in the report: Ninja Foodi 2-Basket 8-Qt. Air Fryer with DualZone Technology
Our ninja air fryer was sitting on the glass stove, plugged in but unused for over a week. We turned on the lights in our home to unload some items from our car. In one trip (~5-7mins to take elevator from parking garage to third floor) the air fryer had caught fire, igniting our oils by the stove for cooking, a box of Christmas presents on the counter wed just brought in from the car, the hood of our stove, and the kitchen cabinets/backspash.

No incident, no one hurt Made Dec 18, 2025, sent to the company Dec 23, 2025, published by CPSC Jan 12, 2026
The product, in the report: Ninja Crispi Air Fryer, original was pink, it was replaced with a grey one. This air fryer has glass bowls that a power pod sits on to work as the air fryer.
I purchased a Ninja Crispi air fryer in May 2025, in September of 2025 it started overheating. The unit would get very hot and not cook anything. The company replaced it. Now the replacement is overheating to the point of tripping the GFCI outlet it is plugged into and the breaker for that area of the house. When Ninja replaced the first one they told me it could be replaced as many times as needed over the next year, so I believe this is a known problem. These air fryers are a fire risk.

No one hurt Made Nov 20, 2025, sent to the company Dec 4, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 18, 2025
The product, in the report: Ninja air fryers both Max and regular models
Many ninja air fryers were sold defective missing the safety feature where the machine turns off when the basket is removed. The fan continues to run with the heating element engaged where paper or other combustibles can be blown into the machine causing a fire or injury. I have now come across three different machines where I can visually guess the defect based off looking at the machine. No one knew their machine was lacking this safety feature since purchase. Every single household was either elderly or have small children. I contacted Ninja and they confirmed this is a defect and offered to replace the machine for MORE than the cost of an entirely brand new one. I believe if I can visually guess the defect, ninja was well aware of this defect and sold the dangerous units anyway and to charge more than a new machine to replace a unit which can result in injury or death due to the defect is unethical.

The product, in the report: 2 basket air fryer
pulled basket out of airfryer and the unit continued to cook. There is no auto shut off when you pull basket out to check condition of food/ Ninja airfryer 2 double stacked baskets, 10 qt./ I used it as well as my husband/ cooking dinner/ No injuries, because there were no children involved.. this is dangerous for adults and CHILDREN, just imagine an inquisitive child sticking there hand (where the basket was prior)in while mommy is flipping or stirring the food. Company is aware that there is no AUTO shut off and really nor concerned with the danger.

No one hurt Made Feb 8, 2024, sent to the company Feb 15, 2024, published by CPSC Mar 1, 2024
The product, in the report: Ninja Max Air Fryer AF161 S/N S12SS505Z9F0 Dark Gray
Ninja Max AF161 S/N S12SS505Z9F0 (this is an air fryer) resets its cook timer to the original cook time after adjusting the cook temperature creating a fire hazard (first time I merely burned my food). For example, I set a 7 minute cook time at 400 degrees on Air Fry. After 4 minutes on Air Fry I want to lower the temperature to 390 and once I do the cook time resets back to 7 minutes. This is *not* how any normal oven works and creates a condition where foods might burn because the user still expects a 7 minute cook time and not 7+4 (11) minutes. This happens consistently (repeatable).

The consumer has a safety concern in reference to the product. He stated that the air fryer that he has is the second replacement of the original purchase.
When the consumer opened the package of the first air fryer, there were fiberglass pieces on the package and inside of the air fryer. The consumer contacted the place of purchase. Eventually he received a replacement from the firm. He contacted the firm when the same thing occurred with the replacement and received another replacement last week.

First aid Made Mar 12, 2021, sent to the company Mar 24, 2021, published by CPSC Apr 7, 2021
The product, in the report: Ninja Digital air fryer oven Model sP100 series Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven
I have a new Ninja SP100 series Foodi Digital Ary fry Oven. When food needs to be checked or removed from the oven after cooking it is hard if not impossible to do it with a pot holder since the fry basket and try have no room above or below them to grasp them. I have burned myself several times and the last time i have at least 1 third degree burn. I now use a fork to pull the basket and tray out with success. I called NINJA today and they did not want to transfer me to a teach person since I refused to give them my last name and home address. I am currently awaiting a call back from a supervisor. I like the oven and the way it cooks and will keep it. I am part of an air fryer group on Facebook and I know I’m not the only person who has been burned by this oven. In looking on the NINJA site I no longer find the model I have. I cannot locate the serial number of my product. According to the manual there should be a QRC code on the back of the oven there is not one on mine.
