The product, in the report: “Joseph Joseph Lotus Non-Scratch Folding Steamer Basket”. Silicon type non scratch material. Green color - two shades. Three “legs” under basket support it above the bottom of the cooking pot. Sold by Bed Bath and Beyond in stores and on-line.
Product is a “Joseph Joseph Lotus Non-Scratch Folding Steamer Basket” sold by Bed Bath & Beyond in stores and on-line. Product was purchased in store in DeWitt, NY. It is a replacement for the same product which failed after one use (silicon foot melted after contact with inside of cooking pot). That failed product was replaced in store with an identical item.
Vegetable steamer was placed into pot, water was brought to temp, vegetables were steamed. After removing the steamer basket from the cooking pot while doing dishes, it was noted that one of the three silicon feet was missing. The vegetables had already been consumed. The missing foot was not found - it is assumed it had been ingested.
