  1. No incident, no one hurt

Made Jul 29, 2025, sent to the company Aug 1, 2025, published by CPSC Aug 15, 2025

The product, in the report: The product is a Feekaa Air Fryer Oven a black countertop convection-style appliance with four gold-colored rotary dials on the front (for temperature, function, timer, and toast shade). The oven was approximately 15 inches wide, 12 inches tall, and 14 inches deep. It includes modes such as Air Fry, Bake, Broil, Warm, and Rotisserie. The unit was gifted to us by a family member (our Nana), who originally bought it secondhand from a Goodwill thrift store. There was no visible damage on the outside, and it appeared to be in normal working condition up until the incident.

I plugged in my Feekaa Air Fryer Oven into a grounded outlet that shares power with an air conditioning unit (using a heavy-duty extension cord). The unit was not even turned on yet, but it immediately sparked from the back and tripped the GFCI outlet.

I opened the rear panel to inspect and found multiple burned and melted wires, with signs of severe heat damage and no internal fuse protection. The main power input lines were scorched, and the neutral line had melted insulation.

The product was being used by an adult in a standard home kitchen environment. No one was injured, but the event could have easily caused an electrical fire.

I am submitting this report to alert the CPSC that this product may present a fire hazard due to poor wiring quality and lack of safety cutoffs. Photos of internal damage are available.
