The product, in the report: Crux air fryer 3.7 QT with touchscreen 1400 watts

On January 2nd around 3pm I began cleaning the food basin to the air fryer and placed it into the sink. After I left the kitchen I began to smell burning plastic and soon realized that my entire air fryer was smoking and very soon caught fire. The fire caused major damage to the kitchen including cabinets, walls and hundreds worth of cookware. This was a very scary experience and could have easily resulted in me being hospitalized or not even having a home. I will surely be seeking legal action for this.

The product, in the report: 6.3-Quart Digital Touchscreen Electric Air Fryer, Created for Macy’s https://www.macys.com/shop/product/crux-6.3-quart-digital-touchscreen-electric-air-fryer-created-for-macys?ID=11304871&CategoryID=180345

I was using a Crux air fryer I had purchased at Macy’s only one week before so it was new. The setting was on warm to warm up tortillas. I noticed there was some smoke. It was coming from the underside of the air fryer. I unplugged it and turned it over and there was more smoke and fire. It started a fire in my kitchen and burned down my entire apartment. I lost everything.
