The product, in the report: Air Fryer Oven. 16 quart. [REDACTED]. Same unit is sold under dozens of names.

    Air fryer melted

Form didn’t give me a space to type what happened Amaste 16 quart air fryer. Looks like sold as many different names. Bought from Amazon in oct 2020. Stopped working. When I took apart I discovered several pieces of plastic from wire crimps had melted. Upon further examination, the wires are crimped to the heating element. The connection is not tight and it melted right through the metal tabs of the heating element. Given the amount of heat and all that is around it is plastic and this would sit under a cabinet in a kitchen, appears to be a significant fire risk. I don’t see any recalls. These units are still for sale
