  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 16, 2014, sent to the company Mar 24, 2014, published by CPSC Apr 14, 2014

The product, in the report: Yoshi blade knife. Black handle and 5” white blade housed in black plastic cover.

RE: Yoshi blade I am writing to point out how dangerous this product is and to suggest that the product be removed from availability in the United States. The first time we used the Yoshi knife the tip of the knife broke off. Fortunately, we saw this happen and we were able to dispose of the meat is was used to cut. We put it away and decided to use it only on softer items in the future. It was used only a couple of times in over a few years for cutting bread. Last December we decided to use this knife to slice new potatoes. A chunk of the blade broke off but it was not immediately noticed. We had to toss 2 pounds of potatoes rather than take a chance on someone ingesting the blade.

In trying to locate information on this company today so that I could send a complaint I came across a huge number of comsumer complaints about the blade breaking or chunks breaking off. This indicates a very dangerous situation.

I would like to suggest this item be investigated and indeed that it should be barred from sale to consumers in the United States due to its dangerous composition.

    Thank you.
