No incident, no one hurt Made Mar 5, 2025, sent to the company Mar 10, 2025, published by CPSC Mar 24, 2025
The product, in the report: The knives are made from stainless steel material and the handles are made from a resin and metal mesh. When one grabs the handle tightly with both hands, the handle just “cracks” and the pieces of resin (plastic) just fall out, exposing the very sharp mesh, making the knives unusable.
I purchased a set of very fancy knives (so I thought). After using them very sparingly only for TWO months, the handles started to fall apart, exposing a very sharp metallic mesh that cuts directly into the hand when using the knife. I’ve reached out the Seido knives, they told me that they will NOT issue a refund. Even after I sent them a video, showing them that the handle just cracks and pieces of resin fall out, exposing the sharp metal mesh in the handle. They still do not care and just brushed me aside.
