First aid Made Oct 18, 2017, sent to the company Oct 26, 2017, published by CPSC Nov 9, 2017
The product, in the report: Martha Stewart Whiteware Cake Knife and Server Sets- sold at Macy’s. Recall # 18-008
The serving wear set was being used to cut a birthday cake at a birthday party. The cake was a typical birthday cake with no hard fillings or other obstacles. The handle of the knife easily snapped off at the ceramic base. This was the FIRST time we had used the serving wear set. As the handle snapped from the base of the knife, it slipped in my husband’s hand, lacerating his palm and thumb.

Hello,
I bought the product “2-Piece Cake Servers Set (Martha Stewart Collection)” and today I was using to cut a cake and the porcelain knife handler broke, and the handler cut one my fingers, because of that I end up in the hospital emergency to fix my finger.
I really don’t think this product is save at all, the porcelain junction with the blade is week making it dangerous, and because of that I end up in the emergency to fix my finger.
I really hope that something will be done related with my problem. I have all the pictures to prove that the problem happen and how bad was.
Regards, [REDACTED]
