The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Chicago Cutlery Serrated Knife Yellow
I was using a Chicago Cutlery knife to cut a cucumber. Suddenly, the blade became detached from the handle, as it had been affixed only with glue, and spun toward my hand, nearly grazing me in the process.

The product, in the report: Chicago Cutlery 8 piece steak knife set
My sister received a Chicago Cutlery 8 piece steak knife set which had packaging which was almost impossible to open. My sister cut herself on the plastic and I got a piece of plastic in my eye. There was a sticker (which was probably added as a result of complaints) on the package giving directions on how to open but even with that, it took at least an hour to open.

The product, in the report: Chicago Cutlery 1090390 Fusion 18-Piece Knife Block Set, stainless steel with honey maple wood block
I purchased a set of Chicago Cutlery 1090390 steak knives from Amazon on March 2, 2014. Since then the blades of two of the steak knives have snapped during routine use, one while cutting a piece of meat and another while cutting a cold stick of butter. In both cases the knife blade snapped with enough force to injure the users if their other hand had been near by.
