No incident, no one hurt Made Dec 30, 2024, sent to the company Jan 7, 2025, published by CPSC Jan 30, 2025
The product, in the report: Wax Christmas tree shaped candle 9” tall 4” wide with wick in a bedding of glittery foam inside a 14”tall 6” wide glass container. On the attached receipt, it is the item marked $24.99.
I bought a candle in the shape of a Christmas tree at HomeGoods. Thankfully, it was in a glass container because I lit the wick then stepped away for a few minutes. When I came back to the dining room, the entire candle was on fire, the wax burning (which I have never seen before). The flames on the surface were about 4” wide, so it was a significant blaze. I was able to snuff out the fire, but this is a dangerous product. I had considered taking the candle out of the glass and putting it in a small dish on the table, but it could have literally caught my house on fire.
