The product, in the report: Blue stegosaurus dinosaur shaped Hanukkah menorah, with spots to hold nine candles
I bought a blue dinosaur-shaped Hanukkah menorah/candle holder from Target on December 27, 2024. The brand is Spritz, a Target made brand. It’s used for eight nights. I noticed that after each night there were some char marks where the candles burned down. On the final night, January 1, where all the candles are lit, the menorah actually caught on fire, where there was one big flame, burning the sides and down into the menorah itself. We put it out with a spray bottle full of water, then soaked it in the sink. That night, I called the product safety department of Target Customer Service to report it. Also, I noticed that on the Target.com page for this product, all the reviews are horrible, with many people mentioning the item catching on fire. I have photos and video of the incident.

The product, in the report: 6”x13” taper resin hannukah dino menorah. Blue. https://www.target.com/p/6-34-x13-34-taper-resin-hanukkah-dino-menorah-spritz-8482/-/A-90411266
After purchasing a stegosaurus dinosaur shaped menorah from Target for son, we gifted it to him as a present and proceeded to celebrate the holiday. The menorah was made under Target’s Spritz brand. Our menorah started to catch on fire as the channukah candles were burning low. Part of the head and back ended up singed. We used standard channukah candles that and followed the same standard procedures that we do for the menorah. I.e. lighting on the counter away from other items aside from the tray it sits on. The candles have been used throughout the holiday each time and have never been a problem for any other menorah. This menorah was not created to be fireproof, a dangerous reality for an item that is intended to hold anywhere from 2-9 candles each night for a week.
