The product, in the report: Target Room Essentials tea lights
Using several Target Room Essentials tea lights when I noticed and unusual smoky odor. As I was checking each candle, I heard glass cracking and turned around to see one of the candles had burst into flames. The heat cracked the tea light holder, but I was able to extinguish the fire quickly. I snuffed out all the other tea lights and noticed that the wicks had floated from the center of the metal holder and were now along the edge of the metal. I suspect the flame from the wick heated up the metal container enough to cause the melted wax to catch fire.

A room essentials unscented votive candle (3.3 cm High X 3.6 cm Dial) made in Vietnam and sold by Target Corporation exploded in my bathroom. Black soot was everywhere. The bathroom was vacant at the time of the explosion so on one was injured but it was a mess to clean up. The candle was burning in a small ceramic candle holder. The unused candles were returned to Target.
