The product, in the report: TH Brand No. 23 Hibiscus Mandarin & Vanilla 88oz candle

I purchased the extra large candle from Aldi for $29.99 and the next day I burned it and it set a blaze and the rim popped off the top onto my carpet and hardwood floor. The candle had been burning approximately two hours. And when I tried to blow it out the flames went to my wall fortunately my husband was home and was able to put the lid on the candle to smother the flames so that there would be no further damage. I was very surprised when I entered the room with my dog while we were playing around and videotaping him and I stopped in my tracks to see this candle ablaze . I feel that this could’ve ended far worse; And I would like for others including Aldi to know that they should not be selling this candle that could possibly cause a fire. I did contact Aldi customer service and so did my daughter. We have yet to hear from them again. They did let us know that within 10 days someone should contact us or that we should receive something in the mail neither has happened at this point. I am very fortunate that I did not get hurt and that my home did not catch on fire but hot I have not caught this in time things could have gotten fireworks.
