The product, in the report: The product is a 9oz soy candle with a 100% cotton wick. The candle says hand poured in USA by LULU CANDLES. The candle is housed in a frosted glass container. It was purchased through Amazon.

I was burning a scented 9oz candle in a glass container made by LULU CANDLES. The candle had been used many times previously and approximately 1/2 inch of wax remained in the candle the last time I lit it. The candle was burning for approximately 3-4 hours and the majority of the wax was gone, at which point the glass container violently shattered. Glass fragments were scattered across my floor and counter, and the wick, which was still on fire had fallen out onto my counter top as well. I was able to quickly extinguish the fire but I believe that had I not been within sight of the candle, my apartment could have caught fire.
