The product, in the report: Lafco candle
Two years ago, I purchased a Lafco candle with a purchase price of $60.00. The wax is in a large glass container with a self-extinguisher wick. The glass is advertised as being reusable after the entire candle is burned.
Today, the candle was lit on the granite kitchen counter with about a third of the candle remaining. Within minutes, it literally exploded scattering burning embers and huge shards of thick glass. Thankfully, no one was near it. Had there been anyone close by they would have been severely injured and/or burned. The counter was covered in wax and burning embers and glass had been blown every where.
A Lafco customer representative was courteous but dismissive and told me this has NEVER happened before.
